SMM News on June 19: According to market feedback, from June 13 to June 19, the weekly production of silicon plants in the Xinjiang region was 33,280 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 69%, an increase WoW. The eastern plant area of large plants in Xinjiang has seen a rapid increase in production, with over 10 furnaces resuming production recently. As it takes time for production to ramp up after resumption, it is expected that there will still be a significant increase in production in Xinjiang next week. In terms of in-plant inventory, inventory decreased MoM due to continuous outward shipments.

The weekly production of silicon enterprises in the north-west China sample was 10,510 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 74%, a decrease WoW. The statistical scope for the north-west China region includes Qinghai, Ningxia, and Gansu. Some capacity of individual silicon enterprises within the sample underwent maintenance, leading to a slight decrease in the weekly operating rate.

The weekly production of silicon enterprises in the Yunnan sample was 1,780 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 16%, a slight decrease WoW. The weekly operating rates of silicon enterprises within the sample both increased and decreased. Silicon enterprises that cut production were mainly affected by poor furnace conditions and high costs. In July, Yunnan officially entered the rainy season, and a small number of silicon enterprises with long-term contract delivery requirements have production resumption plans. In the long term, the regional operating rate is expected to increase gradually.

The weekly production of silicon enterprises in the Sichuan sample was 5,700 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 47%, showing relatively small fluctuations WoW. Currently, there are around 37 furnaces in operation across Sichuan province.
